Arunachal’s case tally reaches 55,212

The four new cases were detected from amongst the 717 samples collected and tested for COVID-19 across the state.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s COVID-19 case tally increased to 55,212 as four more persons have tested positive for the infection during the past 24 hours, a senior health department official said.

On the other hand, the state registered the same number of people getting cured of the ailment that took the cumulative figure of recoveries to 54,888, he said.

Of the fresh cases, one each came from Namsai, Tawang, West Kameng and West Siang. The total cases were shared between the asymptomatic and symptomatic.

The four new cases were detected from amongst the 717 samples collected and tested for COVID-19 across the state.

Arunachal’s active caseload stood at 44.

So far 280 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 infections in the state.

On the inoculation front, Arunachal Pradesh has so far administered over 13.53 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses to its eligible citizens.

7,82,499 (78 per cent) of the total adult population have received the first dose of the anti-COVID vaccine, while 5,71,006 (57 per cent) beneficiaries were fully vaccinated.
