Imphal: One Anganwadi worker (48 years, female) resident of Kumbi Terakhong, Bishnupur District died 7 days after Covid Vaccination Friday. She was complaining of rashes and fever. The exact cause of death will be known only after the autopsy, said an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday there was no reports of any deaths in Manipur. During the same period, 5 persons (3 males, 2 females) from the general population tested positive while 3 persons who were on Home Isolation recovered. Of the 5 who tested positive, 2 are from Churachandpur while 1 each are from Imphal West Ukhrul and Thoubal.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,230 (General Population — 25,798 and Central Security Personnel — 3,432). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,772 (General Population — 25, 355 and CAPF— 3,417 ). The number of active cases is 85 (general population 74 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.43%.

Total number of those vaccinated Saturday is 2751 and the cumulative vaccination number is 38484.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 28863 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs 78 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday and that the cumulative no of people vac, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
There is no severe reaction/allergies, adverse event following immunization (AEFI) till date. There were 46 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered, the release added.
