Churachandpur: Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt of India Bhanu Pratap Singh Saturday visited Churachandpur Wood Carpentry, Old Cinema Hall, Churachandpur a Govt. sponsored project under MSME, Govt. of India.
Speaking at the sideline of the inspection, Bhanu Pratap Singh observed that in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, enhancing the GDP contribution from present 30 per cent to 50 per cent and employment generation in MSME from 11 crore to 15 crore, India will be the top economy of the world in future. He is hopeful that the Ministry will increase spending for the betterment of the society at large.
He stated that constant efforts are being made towards upliftment of MSMEs under “Self-reliant India” through various schemes for infrastructure development, credit and financial assistance, technology up-gradation, skill development along with inclusion of large number of business units and exporters.
The Minister also interacted with various craftsmen under Churachandpur Carpentry Association. He was accompanied by Th. Baite, Director of MSME, Manipur; Pramod D Ambedkar, Director of KVIC, Manipur; Khailet Haokip, GM, DIC Churachandpur and Officials of District Industries Centre, Churachandpur.
