Imphal: At least four insurgents belonging to a Kuki militant group were gunned down by security forces in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district on Sunday.
The insurgents reportedly belonged to the Kuki National Liberation Army. The incident comes ahead of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s scheduled visit to the district on Monday.
The security forces including troops of Assam Rifles and the Indian Army’s 3 Corps, launched the operation on Saturday. More than ten insurgents were present when the operation began.

In a joint operation in Hingojang in Manipur, four insurgents were killed by security forces on Sunday. The insurgents reportedly belonged to the Kuki National Liberation Army.
