Imphal: Two persons succumbed to Covid-19, 194 persons ( 193 general population and 1 CAPF) tested positive while 136 persons recovered and were discharged in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The persons who expired are from Bishnupur and Imphal West and both of them had comorbidities and one of them had taken the 1st dose of Covid vaccine. The cumulative death of the state now stands at 1838.
The 193 persons (102 males 91 females) from the general population who tested positive include 109 from Imphal West, 31 from Imphal East, 11 from Bishnupur, 13 from Ukhrul, 9 from Churachandpur, 7 from Thoubal, 6 from Chandel, 5 from Kakching and 1 each Kangpokpi, Noney and Senapati.
Altogether, 3,428 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 5.7 %.
Of the 136 persons who were discharged, 31 were from home isolation, 83 from CCCs, 10 from CHICs, 3 from RIMS and 9 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.55 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,19,0235 (General Population – 1, 14,967, Central Security Personnel 4,268). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 15,127 (General Population – 1, 10,928, Central Security Personnel – 4,199). The number of active cases is 2,270 (General Population – 2,206, Personnel – 64).
The total number of doses administered on September 22, 2021, is 6,658 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,45,647 (1st dose 12,16,639, 2nd dose 4,29,008).
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 23 is 540 out of which 436 are general beds while 104 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 23 is 3467 out of which 620 are occupied and 2847 are vacant.
