Imphal: District Magistrate, Imphal West has directed testing of shopkeepers of shops and establishments for Covid-19 with effect from September 17, 2021.
As per an order issued by Th Kirankumar, DC Imphal West, shopkeepers of Singjamei and Pishumthong Bazar will be tested on Monday, those from Nagamapal and RIMS Road on Tuesday, Thangmeiband and DM Road shopkeepers on Wednesday, shopkeepers belonging to Uripok Raod, Wahengbam Leikai Road on Thursday, those of Tangal Bazar on Friday and on Saturday will be the turn of shopkeepers from Paona Bazar.
The order further stated that shopkeepers who have been vaccinated will be exempted from the test drive provided they can produce vaccination certificates on demand or if they can produce a Covid-19 negative report taken within 7 days.
As per the order CMO, Imphal West will make necessary arrangements for the successful implementation of the test drive.
