Imphal: After a couple of days without any death due to the pandemic, one 60-year-old female resident of Imphal West expired at Shija Hospital in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday. The fatality tally due to Covid-19 in Manipur now stands at 373, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
During the same period, 6 persons (3 males, 3 females) from the general population and 3 personnel of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) tested Covid-19 positive. Of the 6 who tested positive from the general population, 4 of them are from Churachandpur and 1 each from Imphal East and Senapati.
Meanwhile, 18 persons recovered and were discharged. 16 of those are form Home Isolation, 1 each from CAPF and RIMS.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,126 (General Population — 25,697 and Central Security Personnel — 3,429). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,654 (General Population — 25, 239 and Central Security Personnel — 3,415). The number of active cases is 99 (general population 89 and CAPF 10). The recovery rate is 98.37%.

The press note also informed that 78 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday and that the cumulative no of people vaccinated so far is 8334.
