Manipur registers 11 deaths, 1,000 positive cases, 871 recoveries Thursday

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading to 5 pm of Thursday, Manipur reported 1,000 (999 from the general population and 1 CAPF) positive cases, 11 deaths and 871 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

Of the 1,00 persons(497 males, 502 females) who tested positive among the general population, 299 of them are from Imphal West, 166 from Imphal East, 133 from Bishnupur, 125 from Churachandpur, 97 from Kakching, 62 from Thoubal, 23 each from Chandel and Ukhrul, 9 from Tamenglong and 3 each from Kamjong and Tengnoupal.

Altogether 6,655 persons were tested on Thursday which amounted to a positivity rate of 15 %.

Of the 11 persons who succumbed to Covid related death, four of them belong to Imphal East, two to Kakching, and one each to Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Imphal West, Tengnoupal and Ukhrul. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,521.

 Meanwhile, of the 871 persons who were discharged, 375 are from home isolation, 248 from CCCs, 219 from CHICs 21 from RIMS and 8 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 87.02% on Thursday.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 95,824(General Population – 91,850, Central Security Personnel – 3,974). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 83,392(General Population – 79,475, Central Security Personnel – 3,917). The number of active cases is 10,922(General Population – 10,870, Personnel – 52).
