Manipur sees 989 positive cases Monday, positivity rate jumps to 20.2%; 9 deaths

11,007 persons were vaccinated on June July 25, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 12,05,743(1st dose 10,39,214, 2nd dose 1,66,529).

Imphal: Manipur reported 989 new positive cases (987 general population, 2 CAPF), nine deaths and 1047 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

Of the 987(475 males, 512 females) positive cases among the general population, 255 of them are from Imphal East, 209 from Imphal West, 136 from Thoubal, 115 from Bishnupur, 91 from Chandel, 57 from Churachandpur, 43 from Kakching, 23 from Tamenglong, 18 from Jiribam, 12 from Ukhrul, four from Kangpokpi, three from Tengnoupal, and two from Pherzawl.

Even though the total number of positive cases are lesser than the previous day, the positivity rate has jumped from 14.5 % to 20.2% as only 4,888 persons were tested on Monday.

Three of the nine persons who succumbed to Covid related deaths are from Imphal West, two each from Churachandpur and Imphal East and one each from Bishnupur and Kangpokpi. The cumulative Covid related death toll in the state now stands at 1,487.

 Meanwhile, of the 1037 persons who were discharged, 525 of them were on home isolation, 286 were from CHICs, 169 from CCCs and 43 from RIMS and 14 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 87.17% on Friday.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 93,656(General Population – 89,688, Central Security Personnel – 3,968). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 81,645(General Population – 77,739, Central Security Personnel – 3,908). The number of active cases is 10,524(General Population – 10,467, Personnel – 57).
