Army vehicle meets with accident in Arunachal; 1 jawan dead, 7 injured

Itanagar: A soldier died and seven others were seriously injured when an army vehicle in which they were travelling met with an accident in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday morning, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) said.
The accident took place between Pango and Palsi due to inclement weather conditions, the ITBP said in a statement.
ITBP troops rushed with emergency intravenous supply and immediately started possible field critical treatment to the injured soldiers, it said.
“One jawan reported dead but seven seriously injured were stabilised by the team. Injured have been airlifted to the hospital,” the ITBP said.
