MLA Yangseo calls for team effort to develop Kiphire district

Yangseo Sangtam stated that Kiphire being an aspirational district, the government has envisioned many developmental policies, schemes and projects to be implemented in the district.

Kohima: Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on Tuesday at DPDB, Conference hall, Kiphire under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman DPDB, Kiphire, T.Yangseo Sangtam.

Yangseo Sangtam stated that Kiphire being an aspirational district, the government has envisioned many developmental policies, schemes and projects to be implemented in the district. He urged everyone posted in the district to work together as a team and to come forward for successful implementation of all government programs while also urging landowners not to hamper developmental activities in the district.

He stated that during the global pandemic, many have been affected especially daily wage earners and labourers. He also condoled all those who lost their lives during the pandemic. He further lauded the DTF, Medical team, Tribal leaders Civil Societies,NGOs for their fight against the pandemic and especially the front line workers risking their life to save people.

The members discussed various agenda which were decided to be recommended for approval to the higher authority:

  1. Registration of Eastern Sumi Kukami Hoho.
  2. Proposal for approval of LADP 2021-22 under 59 A/C & 60 A/C
  3. After deliberation the meeting decided to forward the establishment of Community Based Eco Tourism at Mimi to the NEC.

The Chairman also informed that Agri.& Allied departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Land Resources and District Land Record & Surveywill give PowerPoint presentation in the next DPDB meeting.

Earlier, the members welcomed new board members ADC, Rahul Mali IAS and EE, PWD (R&B),Nimo Kath.
