Imphal: Manipur fared much better in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Monday compared to the past many days with only 8 deaths, 432 positive cases and 600 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 8 persons who succumbed to Covid-19 on Saturday include 4 from Imphal West and 1 each Imphal East, Ukhrul, Kakching and Senapati. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1204.
The 432 persons (213 males 219 females) from the general the population who tested positive include 115 from Imphal East, 78 from Bishnupur, 73 from Imphal West, 44 from Thoubal, 31 from Kakching, 24 from Chandel, 21 from Kangpokpi, 10 from Senapati, 7 from Ukhrul and Tamenglong, 4 from Jiribam and 1 from Tengnoupal.
Meanwhile, 600 persons recovered and were discharged, which include 340 from home isolation, 151 from CHICs 102 from CCCs, 10 from JNIMS and 6 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state improves to 90.12%
The cumulative number of positive cases is 72,718 (General Population – 68,858 and Central Security Personnel – 3,860). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 65,540 (General Population – 61,754 and Central Security Personnel – 3,786). The number of active cases is 5,974 (General Population – 5,904 and Central Security Personnel – 69).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1470D type Oxygen Cylinders and 378B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 486D type 97B type filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur (121D, 8B), Chandel (33D, 7B), Churachandpur (87D, 0B), Senapati (45D, 5B), Thoubal (72D, 31B), Ukhrul (22D, 18B), Tamenglong (20D, 0B), Jiribam (48D, 13B), Moreh (12D, 5B), Kangpokpi (3D, 0B), Kamjong (3D, 2B), Kakching (12D, 11B), Noney (2D, 0B) and Pherzawl (6D, 2B). CCCs have 341D and 121B filled oxygen cylinders available Monday.
9,570 persons were vaccinated on June July 4, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 7,36,631 (1st dose 6,52,691, 2nd dose 85,940).
