Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland gradually came to a decreasing order for past few days and today it has recorded 228 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, which increased the total number of COVID- 19 cases in the state to 21,023.
Nagaland Health Minister Pangnyu Phom said today that among the 228 fresh cases, the highest 98 in Dimapur, followed by 54 in Kohima, 25 in Mokokchung, 20 in Tuensang, 15 in Phek, six in Zunheboto, four in Wokha, two in Longleng, two in Mon, one in Kiphire and one in Peren.
In recoveries, a total of 195 more patients recovered in Nagaland today, which included 106 in Dimapur, 47 in Kohima, 17 in Mokokchung, nine in Zunheboto, five in Tuensang, three in Wokha, three in Kiphire, three in Peren and two in Longleng, Mr. Phom said.
With these, the total number of cases has now reached 21, 023, of which the active cases are 4941 and a total of 15, 124 people have recovered, while COVID related death toll rose to 326.
