Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm on Saturday, 79 persons from the general population tested positive. During the same period, 93 persons recovered while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 79 persons who tested positive, 27 are from Imphal West, 21 from Imphal East, right from Churachandpur, five each from Kangpokpi and Thoubal, three from Tamenglong, and two each from Bishnupur, Kakching, and Ukhrul, one each from Chandel, Kamjong and Tengnoupal.
Of the 93 persons who recovered, 82 are from home isolation, seven from SHRI, three from RIMS, and one from Jivan Hospital. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.04 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 38, 468 out of which 1, 35, 748 have recovered leaving 596 active cases in the state.
As of July 22, 2022, 17 D-type oxygen cylinders and 1 B-type oxygen cylinder have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as of July 23, 2022, is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 26 are occupied and 12 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 43 are occupied and 19 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on July 22, is 10,778, the cumulative number of doses administered is 30,61,863 (1st dose 16,08,008, 2nd dose 12,79,627) and precautionary dose is 1,74,228.
