Kohima: The 75th Territorial Army Day was celebrated at Jadunang Memorial College, Noney by the GORKHA TERRIERS of 107 Infantry Batallion (Territorial Army) 11 GR. Around 300 students and 50 teachers from different schools and colleges of Noney district participated in the event.
The students were briefed on How to join the Territorial Army and about the life of a soldier. The Batallion welcomed the gathering and encouraged the students to actively participate in the event.
A memento was presented to the schools who participated in the cultural programme that was held at the venue. Joseph Pauline Kamson, IAS, DC Noney spoke about Territorial Army’s rich history and famous personalities who have also joined TA over the years.
He conveyed his best wishes to the Gorkha Terriers. The event was appreciated by DC Noney, CSOs and students and staff from various institutions.
