7 deaths, 788 new cases, 483 recoveries Saturday in Manipur

The 7 persons who expired on Saturday, include 3 from Imphal West, 2 from Bishnupur and 1 each from Imphal East and Kakching. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1258.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Saturday, Manipur reported 7 deaths due to Covid 19, 788 new positive cases from amongst the general population, as also 483 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 7 persons who expired on Saturday, include 3 from Imphal West, 2 from Bishnupur and 1 each from Imphal East and Kakching. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1258.

Of the 788 persons (358 males, 430 females) from the general population who tested positive, 285 are from Imphal West, 190 are from Imphal East, 74 from Churachandpur, 68 from bishnupur, 56 from Kakching, 55 from Thoubal, 12 from Kamlong, 11 each from Senapati and Ukhrul, 10 from Chandel, 6 from Tamenglong5 from Noney, 2 from Jiribam and 1 each from Tengnoupal, Pherzawl and Kangpokpi.

Meanwhile, the 483 persons who recovered and were discharged, include 174 from home isolation 167 from CCCs, 110 from CHICs 17 from JNIMS and 15 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 89.36 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 76,820(General Population – 72,917, Central Security Personnel – 3,903). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 68,654(General Population – 64,846 Central Security Personnel – 3,808). The number of active cases is 6,908(General Population – 6,818 and Central Security Personnel – 90).

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1670D type Oxygen Cylinders and 379B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 431D type and 93B type filled cylinders out of which  Bishnupur (37D, 0B), Chandel (33D, 5B), Churachandpur (61D, 0B), Senapati (39D, 0B), Thoubal (61D, 30B), Ukhrul (19D, 18B), Tamenglong (18D, 0B), Jiribam (48D, 12B), Kamjong (3D, 1B), Kangpokpi (2D, 0B), Kakching (21D, 19B), and Pherzawl (6D, 2B) and Noney(2D, 0B). CCCs have 356D and 105B filled oxygen cylinders available Saturday.

13,105 persons were vaccinated on June July 9, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 8,4,482(1st dose 7,71,102, 2nd dose 93,380).

The official release firther informed that the number of patients admitted/adjusted as on July 9 against available bed strength in different treatment facilities in the state are RIMS(216/224), JNIMS(203/286), I land Hospital(36/60), district Covid facilities (146/332), MSF(22/30, private Covid hospitals(216/260), CCCs1139/2906). Grand total of admitted patients is 1978 and beds available is 2220.
