Imphal: Manipur registered 67 new positive cases (66 general population, one CAPF) and 106 recoveries and no deaths in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday, as per an official release from the health department.
Thirty-one persons of the total 66 who tested positive from the general population Monday are from Imphal West, 15 from Imphal East, eight from Ukhrul, four each from Bihsnupur and Thoubal, two from Senapati and one each Churachandpurm Jiribam and Kakching. Altogether, 1,458 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 4.8 %.
Meanwhile, of the 106 persons who recovered and were discharged, 25 are from home isolation, 72 from CCCs and nine from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.33 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 22,964 out of which 1,19,524 have recovered leaving 1,383 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on October 17, 2021, is 1,367 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 18, 29,010 (1st dose 12,36,382, 2nd dose 5,93,628).
