Imphal: Continuing the drive for the destruction of illegal poppy plantation, a combined team of Tengnoupal District Police and commandos, NAB- Manipur, NCB, 1st MR, 8th MR and Thoubal police destroyed around 65 acres of illicit poppy plantations at hill range of Tollen(Khunbi) village under Machi PS jurisdiction on Saturday.
The team was led by Thokchom Vikramjit Singh, SP-Tengnoupal and Watham Basu Singh, SP-NAB and officers consisting of RK Saklemba Singh, Addl SP-NAB, L Baahanta Singh, Dy SP-Thoubal, Inspector John Lamkang, OC Tengnoupal, Inspector DK Angrung, OC Machi PS and Inspector Bobby Singh, OC -NAB PS
With this Manipur Police with the assistance of other departments have destroyed 3765 acres of illegal poppy cultivation so far in various hill districts of Manipur, as per a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police
