Islamabad: At least five people were killed and six others injured on Tuesday in a collision between a van and a trailer in Rawalpindi city of Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province, the local rescue service reported.
According to the report, the accident took place in the morning on the outskirts of the city, with the passenger van hitting the trailer from behind.
Following the accident, rescue workers reached the site and shifted the victims to a local hospital, said the rescue service, adding that two people were severely injured.
According to it, the ill-fated van was heading from Rawalpindi to Gujranwala city of the province.
