New Delhi: A 28-year-old man allegedly attacked five police personnel with a sharp- edged object inside Cyber Police Station in Shahdara, Delhi Police said on Wednesday.
R Sathiyasundaram, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara district said five policemen and one Home guard were injured in a stabbing incident inside the police station at third Floor, Cyber Police Station Shahdara.
The accused has been identified as Bharath Bhati who came to Shahdara Police Station at around 12:45 pm and started arguing with some police personnel and meantime he started video recording there when police staff was trying to pacify him, the accused allegedly took out a sharp-edged object and injured policemen, said Sathiyasundaram.
The accused was nabbed when he was trying to run away and being interrogated. One policeman, who received serious injuries, has been shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre and rest have been sent to GTB Hospital who are under treatment, said the police.
The police added that further investigation in the matter was underway.
