4 killed and 21 injured as vehicle overturns in Tripura

All the injured persons were immediately shifted to Amarpur sub-divisional hospital and five of them were shifted to district hospital in critical condition.

Agartala: Four persons including three women were killed and 21 others injured in a gruesome road accident last night at Chellagang area of Amarpur in Gomati district when a passenger loaded a small vehicle overturned.
The passengers were returning from an ADC election rally of the ruling BJP addressed by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in Gandacherra.
According to report, all of them were BJP supporters and they were travelling in a Maxx pickup van.
The vehicle overturned on Amarpur- Nutanbazar road.
All the injured persons were immediately shifted to Amarpur sub-divisional hospital and five of them were shifted to district hospital in critical condition.
The deceased were identified as Urbashikona Jamatia, Gahing Kumar Jamatia, Mamata Rani Jamatia and Ratna Rani Jamatia.
BJP state president Dr Manik Saha expressed grief over the untimely death of the four party supporters and said the party would help their families.
He also urged the government to extend support to all the victims.
