Lucknow: The 32nd ‘Hunar Haat’ will be organized in Lucknow from Friday till November 21.
The exhibition is meant to be the perfect platform to promote and preserve the traditional art and craft of the country. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Chemical and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya will inaugurate the exhibition.
Union Minister for Minority Affairs and Deputy Leader of Rajya Sabha Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday spoke to the media at the Hunar Haat in Awadh Vihar Yojana Ground in Lucknow.
State Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma and other ministers Suresh Kumar Khanna, Ashutosh Tandon among others will be present at the inauguration.
Naqvi said that more than 600 artisans and craftsmen from more than 30 states/UTs including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur will portray their indigenous products made with wood, brass, bamboo, glass, cloth, paper, clay and other materials in Lucknow.
Traditional food from various parts of the country will also be available in the exhibition.
For the entertainment of the visitors, there will also be a circus illustrating spectacular, diverse, and traditional entertainment shows.
Renowned artists Annu Kapoor, Pankaj Udhas, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik among others will also perform in the cultural and musical programs every evening.
Naqvi said that more than 6 lakh artisans, craftsmen, and people associated with them have been provided employment through “Hunar Haat” in the last about 6 years.
“Hunar Haat” is also available at virtual and online platforms and the GeM portal. People of the country and abroad can also buy “Hunar Haat” products through digital and online mediums.
The next “Hunar Haats” will be organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi (from Nov 14-27); Hyderabad (Nov 26-Dec 5); Surat (Dec 10-19); JLN Stadium, New Delhi (Dec 22-January 2, 2022).
“Hunar Haats” will also be organized in Mysuru, Guwahati, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Patna, Puducherry, Mumbai, Jammu, Chennai, Chandigarh, Agra, Prayagraj, Goa, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Kota, Sikkim,
Srinagar, Leh, Shillong, Ranchi, Agartala, and other places in the coming days.
