327 test positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal; 2 succumb

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Covid-19 tally rose to 29,336 as 223 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, while two more succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll to 125.

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 88, followed by Papum Pare 34 and Changlang 28, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

All the patients are asymptomatic except 76.

According to the bulletin, the first casualty was reported from Itanagar Capital Complex. A 55-year-old man passed away on Monday at DCH, Chimpu here. He tested positive through a rapid antigen test and died due to acute respiratory distress syndrome with Covid pneumonia.

The second death was reported from Siang district. A 85-year-old man who was in home isolation expired on Sunday.

On the other hand, 381 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 25,618. The recovery rate is over 87 per cent.

Active cases stood at 3,593.
