3 more test positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal

The state’s case positivity stands at 0.08 per cent, whereas the covid recovery rate is 99.41 per cent and the fatality rate at 0.51 per cent.

Itanagar: Three more persons in Arunachal Pradesh have tested positive for Coronavirus during the past 24 hours that swelled its tally of confirmed cases to 55,246, a senior health official said. In contrast, eight have recuperated from the disease in the period. With this, the state’s active caseload reduced to 43 while the total number of recovered cases rose to 54,923, he said.

The three new cases, confirmed by rapid antigen test, were detected in Itanagar Capital Complex, Lower Dibang Valley and Tawang. Two of them turned out to be asymptomatic and one symptomatic. The state collected 342 samples for Covid-19 testing during the last 24 hours that took its cumulative count to 11,95,854. The state’s case positivity stands at 0.08 per cent, whereas the covid recovery rate is 99.41 per cent and the fatality rate at 0.51 per cent.

Meanwhile, altogether 5,012 people have received COVID-19 vaccine jabs during the last 24 hours than taking the state’s cumulative vaccination coverage to over 13.81 lakh. While 7.90 lakh (78%) adult populations of Arunachal Pradesh have been administered the first dose of the vaccine, 5.91 lakh (59%) of them were fully inoculated, as per the latest data available with the state’s Health Department.
