Imphal: Assam Rifles and Manipur Police nabbed three militants in three separate incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Assam Rifles personnel and Manipur Police apprehended an insurgent of the proscribed group PREPAK from Sugnu Bazar, Kakching district on Wednesday. The apprehended insurgent was handed over to Sugnu Police Station for further investigation.
In another incident Assam Rifles and Manipur Police apprehended a Self Styled Defence Secretary of proscribed group MNPF in Imphal East district, on Tuesday, Assam Rifles official said.
The apprehended insurgent was handed over to Lamlai Police Station for further investigation.
In yet another incident on Tuesday Assam Rifles and Manipur Police apprehended one insurgent of the proscribed group PREPAK (PRO) in the Bishnupur district, on Tuesday.
He was allegedly involved in unlawful activities on behalf of the proscribed group. The apprehended insurgent was handed over to Porompat Police Station for further investigation.
