Imphal: Manipur reported 26 Covid positive cases in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday. During the same period, 19 persons recovered while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 26 persons who tested positive, five each are from Imphal West, eight are from Imphal East, four from Bishnupur, two each from Kakching and Senapati and one each from Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Thoubal and Ukhrul. Altogether, 684 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 3.8 %.
Meanwhile, 19 persons recovered, 13 from home isolation, three from SHRI and one each from JNIMS, RIMS and CAPF. The recovery rate of the state as of Saturday stands at 98.35 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 563 of which 1, 37,264 have recovered leaving 156 active cases in the state.
As on August 16, 2022, 44 D-type oxygen cylinders and 11 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 17, 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which nine are occupied and 29 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which five are occupied and 57 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on August 16, is 2,496, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,47,813 (1st dose 16,23,532, 2nd dose 12,95,207) and precautionary dose is 2,29,074.
