247 test positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal; two succumb

According to the bulletin, the first casualty was reported from Lower Subansiri. A 41-year-old man died on Wednesday at DCHC, Ziro.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Covid-19 tally rose to 30,247 as 247 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, while two more succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll to 128.

Out of the new positive cases, Changlang reported the highest at 48, followed by Capital Complex 44 and East Kameng 20, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Barring 117, all the patients are symptomatic.

According to the bulletin, the first casualty was reported from Lower Subansiri. A 41-year-old man died on Wednesday at DCHC, Ziro.

A 37-year-old woman from Lohit district expired on Wednesday at DCH, Pasighat.

Both the bodies were handed over to family members as per Covid-19 SOP.

On the other hand, 279 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 26,848. Active cases stood at 3,271.
