23 more test positive, Covid cases rise to 130 in Manipur

During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related deaths while 11 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Imphal: In Manipur, 23 persons from the general population tested positive in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Saturday. 

During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related deaths while 11 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 22 persons who tested positive, nine are from Imphal West, six from Imphal East, three from Churachandpur, two from Bishnupur and one each from Kakching, Tamenglong and Ukhrul. Altogether, 307 persons were tested, amounting to a positivity rate of 7.5 %. 

Of the 11 persons who recovered and were discharged, five are from home isolation and six from Shija Hospital. The recovery rate of the state as of Tuesday stands at 98.36 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 37, 412 out of which 1, 35, 162 have recovered leaving 130 active cases in the state.

The total number of doses administered on July 6, is 5,122, the cumulative number of doses administered is 29,83,805 (1st dose 15,97,930, 2nd dose 12,66,230) and precautionary dose is 1,19,645.
