Islamabad: Two Pakistani soldiers and two terrorists were killed in two military operations in Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said on Monday night in a statement that personnel of security forces engaged with terrorists in two separate locations in the province.
The ISPR said that the first engagement occurred in the Asman Munza area of the South Waziristan district, resulting in the killing of a terrorist and the injury of another, adding that a soldier also got killed during the intense exchange of fire with the terrorists.
In another operation, a soldier and a terrorist were killed during an exchange of fire with terrorists in the Miran Shah area of the North Waziristan district of the province.
Sanitization of the surrounding areas is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, it added.
The military said that the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
