157 more Covid positive cases, total cases reach 1, 21,303 in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur reported three Covid related deaths, 157 new positive cases (147 general population 10 CAPF) and 131 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the health department.

Of the 147 persons who tested positive from the general population, 107 are from Imphal West, 25 from Imphal East, eight from Ukhrul, four from Churachandpur and Thoubal, three from Bishnupur, two each from Pherzawl and Tengnoupal and one each from Chandel and Tamenglong.

Altogether, 2,681 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 5.9%

On Tuesday 131 persons were discharged but due to various reasons 501 persons were reported to be discharged only on Tuesday. After reconciliation with the reports of IDSP team, home isolation team, community home isolation centre team and hospitalization team, the total persons discharged as on October 5, is 632.  

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 21,303 out of which 1, 17,708 have recovered leaving 1,724 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 4, 2021, is 11,323 and the cumulative number doses administered is 17, 31,634 (1st dose 12,27,360, 2nd dose 5,04,274).

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 5 is 568 out of which 451 are general beds while 117 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available at various CCCs of the state on October5 4 is 3472 out of which 585 are occupied while 2887 are vacant.
