15 deaths, 890 new positive cases, 590 recoveries Monday in Manipur

The official release further informed that the number of patients admitted/adjusted as on July 11 against available bed strength in different treatment facilities in the state are RIMS(219/224), JNIMS(236/286), I land Hospital(27/60), district Covid facilities (153/332), MSF(18/30, private Covid hospitals(207/260), CCCs 1130/2906). Grand total of admitted patients is 1990 and beds available is 2208.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday, 15 persons succumbed to Covid-19, 890 persons from the general population tested positive and 590 persons recovered and were discharged in Manipur, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 15 persons who expired on Saturday, include 8 from Imphal West, 2 each from Bishnupur and Churachandpur and 1 each from Imphal East, Thoubal and Kakching. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1287.

Of the 890 persons (452 males, 438 females) from the general population who tested positive, 347 are from Imphal West, 153 are from Imphal East, 83 are form Churachandpur, 74 from Thoubal, 69 from Bishnupur, 59 from Tamenglong, 37 from Kakching, 21 fromKamjong, 17 from from Kangpokpi, 13 from Seanpati 5 each from Chandel and Tengnoupal 4 from Jiribam and 1 from Noney.

While, of the 590 persons who recovered and were discharged, 210 of them are from home isolation, 181 from CCCs, 177 from CHICs, 19 from RIMS and 3 from JNIMS18 from RIMS and 7 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 88.79%.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 78,621(General Population – 74,704, Central Security Personnel – 3,917). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 69,814(General Population – 65,991Central Security Personnel – 3,823). The number of active cases is 7,520(General Population – 7,431 Central Security Personnel – 89).

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1796D type Oxygen Cylinders and 376B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 423D type and 102B type filled cylinders out of which  Bishnupur (89D, 12B), Chandel (28D, 5B), Churachandpur (61D, 0B), Senapati (40D, 0B), Thoubal (75D, 33B), Ukhrul (17D, 18B), Tamenglong (20D, 0B), Jiribam (48D, 12B), Moreh (17D 4B) Kamjong (3D, 1B), Kangpokpi (3D, 0B), Kakching (14D, 15B), and Pherzawl (6D, 2B) and Noney(2D, 0B). CCCs have 358D and 111B filled oxygen cylinders available Monday.

4,804 persons were vaccinated on June July 11, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 8,76,274(1st dose 7,81,818, 2nd dose 94,456).

The release further informed that a total 205 NP swabs collected from different parts of Manipur have been confirmed as Delta variant positive till date. This variant is known to spread faster than the original strain. To avoid further spread, IDSP, Manipur has requested to the public to sue face mask even in family setting over and above the standard Covid Appropriate Behaviour issued earlier.
