Dehradun: Fourteen people of a marriage party in Uttarakhand plunged to their deaths after a vehicle carrying them rolled down a deep gorge on Tuesday in Champawat district, police said.
There were 16 passenger when the vehicle dropped into the gorge by the Tanakpur-Champawat National Highway as they were passing the Sukhidhang-Danda Minar road.
Two, including the driver are in critical condition, the police said. The wedding party was returning from Kaknai village. The deceased belonged to Danda and Kathoti villages.
