Imphal: Manipur reported 14 deaths, 791 positive cases among the general population and 592 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Friday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 14 persons who succumbed Friday include 8 from Imphal East, 3 from Imphal West, 1 each from Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kangpokpi. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 863.
Of the 791 persons (407 males 384 females) from the general population, 271 are from Imphal West, 167 from Imphal East, 89 from Churachandpur, 84 from Thoubal, 52 from Kakching, 49 from Bishnupur, 24 from Kangpokpi, 23 from Chandel, 6 each from Tengnoupa and Kamjong, 4 from Noney, 3 each from Ukhrul and Tamenglong and 1 from Jiribam. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
Meanwhile, 592 persons recovered which include 380 from home isolation, 197 from various Covid Care Centres in the state, 11 from RIMS and 4 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 81.57%
The cumulative number of positive cases is 53,690 (General Population – 49,927 and Central Security Personnel – 3,763). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 43,779 (General Population – 40,040 and Central Security Personnel – 3,739). The number of active cases it 9,048 (General Population – 9,029 and Central Security Personnel – 19).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 928 D type Oxygen Cylinders and 410 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. Central Medical store in the Directorate of Health Services has 650 D type cylinders in stock and District hospitals and government institutions have 397 D type 54 B type filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur (54 D, 0B), Chandel (32 D, 7B), Churachandpur (77D, 0B), Senapati (37 D, 0B), Thoubal (62 D, 22 B), Ukhrul (28 D, 0B), Tamenglong ( 32 D, 5 B), Jiribam 36 D, 11 B), Moreh (20 D, 5B0, Kamjong (3 D, 1 B), Kangpokpi (3 D, 0B), Kakching (7 D, 0B), Noney (2 D, 0B) and Pherzawl (4 D, 3 B).
As per latest information, the total number of persons vaccinated is 4, 03,677.
