Imphal: Manipur reported 13 deaths, 651 positive cases from the general population and 5 positive cases among the personnel of the Central Armed Police Force and 603 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Friday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 13 persons who succumbed to Covid-19 on Friday include 5 from Imphal West, 3 from Imphal East, 2 from Thoubal and 1 from Bishnupur, Kakching and Chandel. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1175.
The 651persons (322 males 329 females) from the general population who tested positive include 212 from from Imphal West, 104 from Imphal East, 101 from Bishnupur, 73 from Thoubal, 60 from Churachandpur, 53 from Kakching, 12 from Chandel, 9 fromm Pherzawl, 7 from Senapati, 6 from Kangpokpi, 5 from Tengnoupal, 4 from Ukhrul, 2 from Noney and 1 each from Tamenglong, Kamjong and Jiribam.
Meanwhile, 603 persons recovered and were discharged, which include 287 from home isolation, 151 from CHICs, 139 from CCCs16 from RIMS and 10 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 89.93%
The cumulative number of positive cases is 70,954 (General Population – 67,106 and Central Security Personnel – 3,848). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 63,809 (General Population – 60,028 and Central Security Personnel – 3,781). The number of active cases is 5,970 (General Population – 5,908 and Central Security Personnel – 62).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 2038D type Oxygen Cylinders and 495B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 456D type 90B type filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur (112D, 0B), Chandel (33D, 5B), Churachandpur (81D, 0B), Senapati (46D, 0B), Thoubal (39D, 27B), Ukhrul (35D, 18B), Tamenglong (19D, 0B), Jiribam (48D, 13B), Moreh (12D, 6B), Kamjong (3D, 0B), Kakching (17D, 15B), Noney (2D, 0B) and Pherzawl (6D, 2B). CCCs have 332D and 113B filled oxygen cylinders available Friday.
As per latest information, 15,485 persons were vaccinated on June July 2, 202. The cumulative number of vaccination is 6,82,110 (1st dose 5,97,479, 2nd dose 84,631).
The official release further added that IDSP Manipur has reported nasopharyngeal swabs collected from 69 individuals have been confirmed as Delta variant positive. It may be recalled that 18 swabs were also found to be Delta variant positive some days back.
