12 test Covid positive, 4 recover Wednesday in Manipur

Meanwhile, four persons recovered, two from home isolation and one each from JNIMS and Chandel. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.42 %.

Imphal: 12 persons tested positive and four persons recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday in Manipur. During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related death in the State, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 12 persons who tested positive, five are from Imphal West, three from Chandel and two each from Imphal East and Bishnupur. Altogether, 439 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.7 %.

Meanwhile, four persons recovered, two from home isolation and one each from JNIMS and Chandel. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.42 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 709 of which 1, 37,495 have recovered leaving 67 active cases in the state.

As on August 20, 2022, 411 D-type oxygen cylinders and 103 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 31, 2022 is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which two are occupied and 36 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which three are occupied and 59 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 30, is 2,764, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,79,363 (1st dose 16,30,426, 2nd dose 13,04,575) and precautionary dose is 2,44,362.
