11 killed as bus catches fire in Maharashtra’s Nashik

Mumbai: As many as 11 people were killed and 21 others injured when a private passenger bus rammed into a truck and caught fire in Maharashtra’s Nashik on Saturday.

The incident occurred around 0530 hrs this morning, as the I’ll fated bus was moving from Yavatmal to Mumbai. The mishap occurred on Aurangabad-Nashik road.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde said that the incident will be probed to ascertain the exact cause.

The Chief Minister also announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakhs for the families of the dead victims and ordered prompt free treatment for all the injured.
