Imphal: Manipur reported 11 deaths, 963 new positive cases and 723 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 common Control Room..
The 11 persons who expired, include 3 each from Imphal West and Imphal East, 2 each from Bishnupur and Chandel and 1 from Kakching. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1376.
Of the 693 persons (457 males, 506 females) from the general the population who tested positive, 268 are from Imphal West, 291 are from Imphal East, 110 from Chuachandour, 107 from Bishnupur, 87 from are from Kakching, 81 from Thoubal, 34 from Kangpokpi, 33 from Chandel,15 from Tamenglong, 9 from Senapati, 7 from Jiribam, 4 from Noney, 3 from Kamjong and 1 from Pherzawl.
Altogether 6,174 persons were tested Sunday. The positivity rate improved marginally to 15.6% from 16.9% Saturday.
295 of 723 persons who recovered and were discharged were on home isolation, 218 of them were from CHICs, 168 from CCCs, 24 from JNIMS, 18 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 86.97% as of Sunday.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 84,822(General Population – 80,885, Central Security Personnel – 3,937). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 73,770(General Population – 69,924, Central Security Personnel – 3,846). The number of active cases is 9,676(General Population – 9,590 Security Personnel – 86).
25,769 persons were vaccinated on June July 17, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 10,36,124(1st dose 9,22, 847, 2nd dose 1,13,277).
The official release further informed that the number of patients admitted/adjusted as on July 17 against available bed strength in different treatment facilities in the state are RIMS(218/224), JNIMS(238/286), I land Hospital(39/60), district Covid facilities (159/332), MSF(21/30), private Covid hospitals(235/260), CCCs 1558/2946). Grand total of admitted patients is 2437, beds available is 1736.
