10 positive cases, no death on Thursday in Manipur

Imphal: Continuing with the improving trend, in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday, there was no report of any death due to Covid-19 in Manipur. During the same period, only 10 persons (5 males and 5 females) from the general population and 1 personnel of CAPF tested positive, as per an official press note from the Covid-10 Common Control Room.

The 10persons from the general population who tested positive include 3 from Kakching, 2 each from Thoubal. Tamenglong and Churachandpur and 1 from Chandel.

Meanwhile, 11 persons recovered and were discharged. Those discharged include 9 from Home Isolation and 1 each from SHRI and JNIMS.

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,110 (General Population — 25,684 and Central Security Personnel — 3,426). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,625 (General Population — 25, 215and Central Security Personnel — 3,410). The number of active cases is 113 (general population 101 and CAPF 12). The recovery rate is 98.33 %.

The press note also informed that 773 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Friday and that the cumulative no of people vaccinated so far is 6874 and the percentage of achievement upto February 4 is 57.08  per cent.
