Gangtok: Sikkim reported one new Corona positive case in the last 24 hours.
Out of total 6175 cases registered so far 5893 have been discharged on recovery.
“Currently, there are 50 active coronavirus cases in the hill state while the death toll has remained at 135 since no one has died due to the infection in the last few days,” said Sonam Bhutia, Information, Education and Communication member.
As many as 3217 people have been inoculated in the last 24 hours and out of these 2454 received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine while 763 received the second dose.
Also, 825 health care and 373 frontline workers were vaccinated.
Bhutia said 224 people with comorbidity, between the age of 45 and 49 and 1795 above 60 were given the first dose of vaccine in 28 centres across the State.
