Aizawl: A 3-day “National Handloom Expo 2021” organised by the Mizoram Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd (ZOHANDCO) at Dokulha Hall, Lawngtlai was inaugurated by the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), Manghmung Chinzah Monday.
In the inaugural function chaired by C Lalrammawia, Chairman, ZOHANDCO, Manghmung Chinzah delivered an inaugural speech praising the efforts of ZOHANDCO in safeguarding and promoting cultural values of Mizos through handloom and handicrafts.
The inaugural function of the Expo was also attended by Dr Andrew H Vanlaldika, Deputy Commissioner Lawngtlai, and members and officials of LADC.
More than 25 stalls set up in the National Handloom Expo 2021 exhibited local made clothes and handicrafts and at a discounted price. It will be open from March1 to 3, 2021.
