Kohima: A Workshop Cum Skill Training for Women on Use of Mobile Applications was organized by District Skill Committee (DSC) Wokha, Wokha District Administration, and DLCW-MSK under BBBP in collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima on 6th April 2022 at DC’s Conference Hall, Wokha.
The workshop was conducted in three sessions. The first and third session was taken by A Morimenba Amer, Joint Director, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima.
He highlighted the important tips for cyber security, to always keep the systems/devices (desktop, laptop, mobile) updated with the latest patches; Protect systems/devices through security software such as anti-virus with the latest version; Always download software or applications from known trusted sources only; Never use pirated software on your systems/devices; Ensure all devices/accounts are protected by a strong PIN or passcode. Never share your PIN or password with anyone; Do not share your net-banking password, One Time Password (OTP), ATM or phone banking PIN, CVV number, etc. with any person even if he/she claims to be an employee or a representative of the bank and report such instances to your bank. He also highlighted the must-do practices- Register your mobile number at the bank for regular information by SMS for every transaction; Never share your PIN with anyone; Transact at only trusted merchants; While at ATM, ensure no one is looking over your shoulder for safe digital payments.
During the second session, Technical Officer, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima, Moasunep Kichu, dwelled on Digital Marketing and highlighted how to do Social Media marketing on Facebook and Instagram platforms.
The welcome remark was given by Selemla S Sangtam, SDO (C), Wokha, and the workshop was chaired by Dr. Wonchano E Enny, Women Welfare Officer, DLCW-MSK, Wokha while the vote of thanks was delivered by Anuranjan Singh, Skill Development officer, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
Deputy Commissioner (DC), Wokha, Orenthung Lotha thanked the team of the NIELIT, Kohima for conducting the skill training for women in the district.
