Imphal: Four people including a woman were injured in firing by armed persons at Khamenlok, Imphal East on Monday.
All of them received serious bullet wounds and were rushed to Imphal for treatment.
Three of them were identified as Irom Oken, Irom Ichan, Naorem Rakesh. They were reportedly fired upon by persons belonging to another ethnic group.
Meanwhile there was heavy exchange of fire at Torbung Govindpur, Bishenpur district. So far there was no report of any injury.
Clashes between two ethnic groups in Manipur since May 3 have disturbed normal lives and Manipur remains cut off as the highway is blocked at Kangpokpi.
