Vice-President Naidu curtails his visit to Nagaland

Official sources said during his Dimapur visit, Naidu will hold meetings with the Governor of Nagaland, State Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Ministers at Police Guest House at Chumoukedima, at the outskirt of Dimapur.

Kohima: Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, who was supposed to visit Nagaland on a three-day tour, has curtailed his visit to one day at Dimapur.

Official sources said during his Dimapur visit, Naidu will hold meetings with the Governor of Nagaland, State Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Ministers at Police Guest House at Chumoukedima, at the outskirt of Dimapur.

He is likely to visit ICAR –National Research Center on Mithun at Medziphema and likely to witness a cultural programme by the artists of the North East Zone Cultural Center in Dimapur.

On the morning of the next day, the Vice-President is scheduled to leave for Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh for his visit to the state.

Earlier, Kohima Police had issued traffic regulations in the town in view of the visit of the Vice-President of India to Kohima from October 7 to 9, but yesterday evening Kohima Police issued a press release informing that the traffic regulation “stands cancelled.”
