Sitapur (UP): Three persons were killed and four others were injured after being hit by a contractual bus of roadways in Kamalapur town of Sitapur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, police said here.
Station House Officer (SHO) of Kamalapur police station Satish Chandra said that the incident took place on Lucknow-Delhi highway when the roadways by met with an accident and mowing down pedestrians and motorcyclists, “Paras, Raju and a 60-year-old unidentified woman were killed on the spot,” he said.
He said that Jai Karan, Jagrani, Ram Prasad and Aman sustained serious injuries in the incident and have been admitted to the hospital. “The bus driver escaped after the incident. The matter is being probed by the police and further legal action is being taken,” he said
