UP English paper leak: Exam cancelled in 24 districts

Reports said that taking cognizance of the incident Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Special Task Force (STF) of UP Police to start a probe.

Lucknow: Examination of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board was cancelled in 24 districts of the state on Wednesday after an English question paper leaked in Ballia.

The examination was scheduled to be held in the second shift from 2 pm. The English exam has been cancelled in Ballia, Etah, Baghpat, Badaun, Sitapur, Kanpur Dehat, Lalitpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Gonda, Azamgarh, Agra, Varanasi, Mainpuri, Mathura, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Shamli, Shahjahanpur, Unnao, Jalaun, Mahoba, Ambedkar Nagar and Varanasi.

Director Education and Chairman of the Board, Vinay Pandey, said keeping in view the possibility of series 316 E D and 316 E I question paper leak of English subject in Ballia district, the examination has been cancelled in 24 districts.

He said that examination of English subject will continue as per schedule in the remaining districts. Dates of re-exam in these districts will be announced soon, the director said.
