Sultanpur: Three people were charred to death when a car caught fire after hitting a divider on the Purvanchal Expressway in the Gosaiganj area of Sultanpur district.
A police spokesman on Monday said that the incident occurred on Sunday night when the car coming from Lucknow hit a divider near Arwal Kiri and caught fire.
Three persons travelling in the car were charred to death in the accident, he said. One of the victims has been identified as Aditya Kothari, a resident of Aliganj locality in Lucknow, while efforts were being made to ascertain the identity of two others, police said.
