UP: 3 killed, several others injured as bus collides with truck

Bahraich (UP): Three persons were killed, and several others were injured when a double-decker bus collided with a truck in Kotwali Dehat area of Bahraich district here in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, police sources said.
Police sources said that the incident took place when Balrampur bound bus from Ludhiana collided with a truck loaded with rice near Dharawan. “While three passengers were killed on the spot, nearly one and a half dozen others were injured. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital and Gilaula community health center,” they said.
District Magistrate Monica Rani visited the hospital and directed to ensure proper treatment of the injured. “One of the injured Suraj (10) has been referred to Lucknow in a serious condition.
The identity of the deceased is being ascertained.” he said.
