Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday, 83 persons from the general population tested positive. During the same period, 84 persons recovered while two persons succumbed to Covid-19, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 83 persons who tested positive, 45 are from Imphal West, 16 from Imphal East, seven each from Churachandpur and Thoubal, four from Kamjong, three each from Bishnupur and Chandel, two from Senapati and one each from Kakching and Ukhrul.
Of the 84 persons who recovered, 67 are from home isolation, 13 from SHRI and two each from JNIMS and RIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.01 %.
The two persons who expired due to Covid are from Thoubal and Kakching. Both the deceased had comorbidities, one of them had been vaccinated with the 1st dose while the other with the 2nd dose. The cumulative death due to Covid in the state stands at 2124
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 38, 310 out of which 1, 35, 559 have recovered leaving 627 active cases in the state.
As of July 20, 2022, 24 D-type oxygen cylinders and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on July 21, 2022, are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 19 are occupied and 19 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 39 are occupied and 23 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on July 20, is 11,045, the cumulative number of doses administered is 30,43,010 (1st dose 16,05,916, 2nd dose 12,77,003) and precautionary dose is 1,59,091.
