Imphal: Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) in conjunction with Manipur Police, Kakching Commandos carried out a Search operation in the General Area Langmeidong, Kakching District of Manipur on January 8, 2025.
Based on specific intelligence regarding movement of KCP(T) cadres in the general area Sugnu – Burma road and their involvement in extortion activities in general Area Langmeidong the joint team covertly intercepted an unregistered grey coloured Maruti Suzuki Baleno and detained two individual.
Upon spot interrogation and verification, individuals, namely Mayanglambam Sanathoi Singh, 30 years old, son of M Achou Singh, resident of Kakching Khunou Chekshapat School Maning Leikai, Kakching, and Sanasam Suraj Singh, 27 years old, son of S Somajit Singh of Wangoo, Bishnupur Dist, identified themselves as active cadres of the banned outfit KCP(T).
The Individuals were apprehended and the apprehended along with seized items were handed over to Waikhong PS for further investigation, stated a press note from the PRO, IGAR(S).
