Kohima: Troops of the Assam Rifles apprehended two active cadres of the outlawed insurgent group – NSCN-IM – in Mokokchung district of Nagaland on Friday.
The two have been identified as self styled sergeant major Imkongtiba and self styled sergeant major Phamching.
A team of the central security force nabbed the cadres along with a Assam registered Maruti Alto vehicle along the Mokokchung-Mariani road. Two weapons and live ammunition were also seized from their possession.
The apprehended NSCN (IM) cadres alongwith recovered war like stores have been handed over to Mokokchung Police Station-I, Mokokchung district for further investigations.
